Nebot Pharmacy, a boost for youth

Year: 2016. Sales Area: 136m2. Location: Girona, Spain.

Nebot Pharmacy is the story of two young people, Alexis (30) and Ariadna (32). A brother and sister with one dream: to set up their own pharmacy.

They had been looking at projects for over a year with the most common pharmacy furnishing firms.  Their conclusion helped us to identify an opportunity to create: …  -“ They offer us the same pharmacy they offer to everyone else and what's more at a price we cannot afford”-, “Nobody is able to materialize our concept in a pharmacy”.

The budget was the framework for the design and production strategy. They were clear from the outset "We want a personalized, unique project, but at a price to suit our budget", Ariadna would tell me.

Co-creation: We decided to modify our approach to accommodate and support the dream of these two young people. The solution was “co-creation”. The customer would take on many of the tasks of the project. Ariadna set about defining the design elements, and Alexis undertook everything to do with the civil engineering and project management.

Vintage remedy boxes: We designed the graphic theme and furnishing based on a collection of unique remedy boxes that Ariadna saw in the apothecary-museum of Troyes, a city in the north of France. The client wanted to give it this "Vintage" flavour; to convey the passing of time. “We wanted people to feel that today's pharmacy is not like those of yesteryear, of course, but that it is not a banal or meaningless place either; it is not just another shop as many people believe. There is a history and a wealth of knowledge that apothecaries have accumulated through the ages that are still very valid for pharmacies today. We need to recover those origins and give them their due”, Ariadna used to say.

Planning the commercial space: We were clear that as the pharmacy was situated opposite a large store we needed a sign to be as big as possible. Also, the glass façade needed to be exploited so that the pharmacy would be clearly visible from outside, while at the same time presenting clearly three categories of product.

Furnishings: a simple but effective design: We looked for the utmost versatility - all of the furnishings are equipped with multi-position shelving and rear perforated panels for presenting the products on pegs.  Colours, light and materials. With the aim of reducing costs we made use of the existing floor surface, the black cement and tiles with historical motifs that we retrieved from a forgotten crate.

A pharmacy where things happen: If there is one thing that makes marketing-jazz pharmacies stand out it is the customer experience. Nebot Pharmacy has a central area presided over by high table and a number of seats for holding events and offering a more intimate service.

Adapting to youth: With Nebot Pharmacy we have gone one step further in the personalization of our projects: adapting to the young, to their approach to work and their resources.  We want to support all those projects that share our dream of transforming your pharmacy into a source of health and wellness.
